Staff & Leadership

Nat Evans

Lead Pastor

Nat Evans started as Forestview’s lead pastor in January 2020.

Nat has been married to his wife Julie for 10 years and together they have two children, Beckett and Alaiya. Nat loves reading, writing, NBA basketball; and is ever in search of the perfect fish taco.

Nat’s heart is to help people discover the incredible life that happens as we surrender our lives to Jesus and discover our true selves in the story of God. He longs to see the church wrestle with what it means to truly follow Jesus and be a community that embodies his self-giving love.

Cole McFarlane

Pastor of Worship, Communication & Operations

After graduating from Briercrest College with a B.A. in Christian Ministry, Cole joined the Forestview team in September 2008. Cole’s role has morphed over the years to include Sunday mornings, communication and operations.

Cole met Janessa in 2011 through a Clearwater Players’ production of Bye Bye Birdie, and they got married in 2014. They live in Burlington, far too close to the local music store, with their son Francis and daughter Ellis.

Cole is passionate about the intersection between faith and art and is pumped to grow with Forestview in the areas of Music, Media, Art and Liturgy as the church explores different ways of expressing ourselves during times of communal worship.

Marcée Lane

Pastor of Mission & Discipleship

Marcée grew up in Dundas Ontario surrounded by family who loved Jesus. She lived abroad as a missionary in Bolivia for 5 years. Upon returning from the mission field, Marcée completed her Master of Social Work at Wilfred Laurier University.

Within weeks of graduating from Laurier, Marcée began to work at Indwell, a Christian charity that creates affordable, supported housing communities. Marcée wrapped up her time at Indwell in September 2022 as she transitioned to Forestview.

While working at Indwell, Marcée met Jeremy Lane in the fall of 2019 and in the fall of 2021, Jeremy and Marcée married and now live in Burlington. They have been attending Forestview since June 2021, and from the first Sunday, they felt welcomed and knew that God had led them to this church family.

Carley Wragg

Interim Pastor of Children's Ministry

Carley was born in Oakville, grew up in Burlington and attended Forestview Youth as a young teen, where she came to know the Lord.

She married her high school sweetheart Pete Wragg, whom she met through camp Mini-yo-we. They have three beautiful children, Finn, Teagan, and Hadley.

Carley attended Mohawk College, where she obtained her education in early childhood studies.

Pete and Carley returned to Forestview just after their first baby was born and have been part of the Forestview community for almost nine years.

Carley has many passions but almost always finds herself working with youth and Children. She has a desire to see them grow deeper in their relationships with the Lord and to teach them what it means to know Jesus. She is looking forward to meeting new families and working with those she already knows so well.

Johnny Gordon

Pastor of Youth & Young Adults

Johnny grew up in Mississauga in an active church family. As Johnny grew up, his faith developed largely due to his involvement at Pioneer Camp, and his passion for ministry propelled him to attend bible school in Colorado. Johnny went on to complete an Urban & Intercultural Ministry degree from Redeemer University in Hamilton.

Johnny spent his last few summers as an assistant director at Pioneer Camp’s Boys’ Camp where he further developed his skill and passion for youth ministry and leading others.

Johnny loves the outdoors and spends his time hiking and playing disc golf. He loves hockey and particularly loves watching the Leafs when they are winning.

Leadership Team

Forestview’s Leadership Team is a group of men and women who serve as shepherds of the church.

They provide love, care, and support for the community, whether directly or indirectly. They encourage spiritual growth and guard the church against attack, both from without and within.

In addition, they serve as overseers of the church. They develop and communicate Forestview’s vision, and direct and manage the affairs of the church.
